Our AP Environmental Science class took our lab coat vibes outdoors for a real-world Biodiversity Study! Our mission: cataloging, classifying, and studying the distinct, environmental footprint of the wild species of vehicles lurking in the Faculty Lot versus the Student Lot.
The study observed everything from sensible sedans to budget-friendly beaters held together by hope and bumper stickers! Huge shout out to our science team for the hands on, real world observation experience for our students!

They put elements to the heat to watch atomic science in action. When heated, electrons get "excited" and jump to higher energy levels. As they cool down and fall back to their ground state, they release energy as photons—creating brilliant, unique colors of light! 🌈💥
Since every element leaves its own distinct "fingerprint" of light, students matched the fiery colors to known chemicals to solve the mystery of their unknown samples. 📊🧪
