JUNIORS and SENIORS interested in working as a Wildcat Tutor in our local elementary schools next semester, stopped by C-12 for an application. We have positions opened up starting in January.

The Senior Beta Club meeting for old members will be on Wednesday, October 20 in the 10-12 cafeteria at 2:35. 

Club dues will be collected at that time. Last days for submission of dues is October 30.

We will have a special presentation from the college of coastal Georgia for our leadership activity. Please plan to attend. An extra club hour can be obtained.

Attention Junior and Senior girls! If you want to compete in the 2022 Miss Wildcat Scholarship Competition, please send the name of your sponsoring organization and advisor to Mrs. Slusser at sslusser@camden.k12.ga.us (please do not use her gx email address.)

Top prize this year is a $2000 scholarship! For more information, see Mrs. Slusser before or after school, or email her anytime! You can also talk to your coach or club sponsor. The registration deadline is Friday, October 29th.

Have you seen the new school apparel? DECA has released an all new apparel line from Adidas to show your school pride as well as their own brand called Coastal Cats inspired by designs from brands like Southern Marsh and Vineyard Vines. Come check out the new sports gear, with Adidas long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, as well as quarter zips. There are also new CCHS mesh trucker style hats. Stop by the display outside of the cafeteria to see our designs! You can purchase all your items in the Wild Way and we hope to see you there!

9th grade basketball tryouts begin Monday, October 25th at 2:45 after school at the rec center. All players must have a physical before tryouts!


Wildcat student athletic passes are back! The Camden County Athletic Department will not once again be offering a Wildcat Student Pass for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. It is our desire to have more students in the stands for all CCHS home Athletic events. We are offering a season athletic pass for $70 to CCHS students only. This pass will allow for students free entry into all CCHS home regular season athletic competitions for all sports. Students May purchase their passes in the athletic office NOW! Checks, money orders, and cash are accepted for purchase. All checks and money orders can be made out to “CCHS”. This is a great wat to support your fellow Camden County student- athletes and save money!

Attention all FBLA member! We will be meeting in H4 tomorrow, October 20th to discuss upcoming competitive events. See you there!

Calling all CCHS students, HOSA is raising money to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s. Join the fight by donating one dollar and having your name or the name of someone you know who has been affected by Alzheimer placed on an elephant that will be displayed at the walk to end Alzheimer’s this Saturday in downtown St. Marys.

HOSA Members will be set up outside of the 10–12 lunch room today and Thursday. All donations are welcome!

We would like to congratulate Breanna Norwood For placing eighth in a t-shirt contest at our fall rally on Friday and Lexi Mohammed for being recognized for her top score on the statesmen test.

Congratulations to the CCHS Theatres production of the Wind in the Willows. The show placed third at the Georgia Theater Conference last weekend. Camden Lang was named best actor. Alexia Carter and Ethan Spinks were named all star cast.

Yesterday the show won the region 1–7A One act play championship. Alexia Carter, Camden Lang, and Allison Smith were named to the region all star cast. They will compete for the state championship on November 20.

The CCHS Theatre’s “Class Act Production” of the Wind in the Willows opens today, October 21st and runs through Sunday, October 24th. The show begins at 6:30 tonight through Saturday and 2PM on Sunday. Tickets are $10 at the door. 

Attention members of National Honor Society. The October NHS meeting will be today at 2:30 in the cafeteria. The makeup meeting will be Friday October 22nd at 7:00 am in room C-6. This is the first meeting for newly inducted members.

The football team would like to thank our student section, fans, cheerleaders, and band for their support against Colquitt county last week. Unfortunately, we lost a hard fought overtime game but the spirit of our team and students were clearly evident. The team would also like to recognize as this week staff members of the week Mr. Juan Franco and Mr. Sean Creo. We would like to thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm for our team and all the students at Camden County high school. 

Also our players of the week for the game were:

General

There will be a Student Council Meeting after school on Monday, October 25th in A-3. We will be taking our yearbook picture during this meeting. Members should make plans to attend. There will be a make-up meeting on Tuesday, October 26th in A-3 at 7:00 AM. 

The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Meeting will be Wednesday, October 27th. Any student interested is welcome to attend this meeting. There will be two meeting sessions available: before school at 6:45 AM or after school at 2:40 PM in the 10-12 Media Center. We will be taking yearbook pictures at the meeting. Please see 

Mrs. Whitetree or Mrs. Wilson in the 10-12 Media Center if you have any questions or are unable to attend the meeting.
