Audition call! FOOLS by Neil Simon auditions are today, September 20th and tomorrow, September 21 after school at 2:45pm in the auditorium lobby. Please email jhill@camden.k12.ga.us if you have questions. 

Helen Ruffin reading bowl will be meeting on September 22. There are two meeting sessions available: 6:45am or 2:40pm in the 10-12 Media Center. Please see Mrs. White tree or Mrs. Wilson in the 10–12 media center if you’re unable to attend or if you have any questions.

Are you proud to be a wildcat? Get your spirit sleeves today! They are $10 per pair and are available for purchase now! See any FBLA member or stop by rooms D13, H4 or J4. Now you can wear your wildcat pride on your sleeve!

Underclassmen pictures will be taken next week. All 9th, 10th and 11th graders whose 2nd block is in the 10-12 building, auditorium, or band room will be photographed in the 10-12 building during 2nd block tomorrow, September 21st.

Are you looking for SAT or ACT practice? Mrs. Terrell will offer workshops from 9:00-12:00 in D-4 for test practice and English help in the following days.

*SAT Prep Workshops: September 25th, October 30th, November 13th, March 5th, and April 30th.

*ACT Prep Workshops: October 16th, December 4th, February 5th, and March 19th.

The Senior chapter of the National Beta Club of Camden County High School is a National honor society whose purpose is to recognize excellence in academics, promote character, develop leadership, and encourage good citizenship and community service. The duties of membership include attending monthly meetings, keeping a 90% or above GPA, and doing a minimum of 12 hours of community service per semester (at least 6 of the 12 must be club hours). The National beta club website with information about the history of the organization is at www.betaclub.org. If you are a 11th or 12th grader and would like to become a member of the CCHS Senior Beta Club, and you meet the minimum academic requirement of 90% GPA please sign up to receive an application in C19. Applications deadline is October 15.

The PSAT will be administered on October 13, 2021. The PSAT is free to all 10th graders. If you want to take the test please sign up in front of the guidance office starting today  through September 10th. If there is any freshman or junior that would also like to take the PSAT, the cost is $17.00. These students will need to see the guidance secretaries in the ninth grade center or the 10-12 building.

Wildcat student athletic passes are back! The Camden County Athletic Department will once again be offering a Wildcat Student Athletic Pass for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. It is our desire to have more students in the stands for all CCHS home Athletic events. We are offering a season athletic pass for $70 to CCHS students only. This pass will allow students free entry into all CCHS home regular season athletic competitions for all sports. Students may purchase their passes in the athletic office NOW! Checks, money orders, and cash are accepted for purchase. All checks and money orders  can be made out to “CCHS”. This is a GREAT way to support your fellow Camden County student-athletes and save money!

10th graders that received an invitation for the senior chapter of the National Beta Club of Camden County High School, this is a reminder that membership dues must be turned in by October 15 to become a member.

If you are an 11th or 12th grader and would like to become a member of the CCHS senior beta club, and you meet the minimum academic requirement at 90% (non-weighted) GPA please sign up to receive an application in C19. Application deadline is October 15. 

Attention art club members: we will have a meeting tomorrow September 23 in room H3. Please remember to bring your containers and sign the waiver. Both are due at this meeting.

Congrats to the football team for their 50 to 6 win over Oakleaf on Friday. We would like to thank our student section, fans, cheerleaders, and band for their support! The team would also like to recognize as this week’s staff members of the week Mrs. Vicki Fenstermaker and Mr. Brent Blount. We would like to thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm for our team and all the students at Camden County High School.

Also, our players of the week for the Oakleaf game were: Scout team player of the week - Ronald Spradley Pettus and Zack Owens. Fake of the week - Gray Loden. Special teams player of the week - Zack Andreu. Hit of the week - Jamie Felix and K.K. Albertie.

There are many opportunities for you to show your Wildcat spirit tomorrow!

Wish the JV and 9th grade football teams good luck as they play against Lowndes. The JV team will be playing at home with kick off at 4:15pm and the 9th grade team will be traveling to Lowndes with kick off at 4:30pm! Go Wildcats!

Come out and support the JV and Varsity volleyball teams as they host Lowndes with games starting at 5 and 6 pm.

The Varsity softball team will be traveling to Tift county to take on Tift in a double header with games starting at 4 and 6 pm.

Support your boys in blue this Friday as they travel to Douglas, Georgia to take on Coffee County with kickoff at 7:30! Go Wildcats!

Hey HOSA members, are you ready for our September monthly meeting? Join us in G-1 on Wednesday, September 29 immediately after school! Our theme is meditation and self care so where you’re comfortable yoga attire but make sure that it is in dress code. There will be a make up meeting in G-8 at 7:00 AM on Thursday, September 30, if you cannot attend. All members who are attending the HOSA Fall Rally will have a mandatory meeting immediately after our chapter meeting. hope to see everyone there!
