General Announcements

  • Students this week the CCHS Guidance Department is hosting College and Career Week.

  • Today kicks off the 1st block Door Decorating Contest. The first block class with the best college or career-themed door will receive free Chick-fil-A breakfast on Friday! Please remember, door decorating can only take place before or after school, not during the school day!

  • Seniors are encouraged to turn in a copy of their college acceptance letters to guidance or Mrs. Sparks in D-1 to be showcased on the Senior Wall of Fame.

  • There will be a FAFSA Night tomorrow afternoon from 3-5 p.m. in the Media Center. This allows student assistance with your FAFSA form and have any financial aid questions answered by a GA HOPE Scholarship Representative.

  • Also, tomorrow is Career Dress Up Day sponsored by the CTAE Department. Dress up as a successful career of your choice (school dress code enforced) and win a chance to earn a Chick-fil-A Gift Card!

  • Attention students wishing to attend Prom or Senior activities, students cannot be absent for more than 5 days and cannot be failing a class. If a student wishes to appeal for excessive absences, they must be passing all classes.  

  • Attention students, the National Honor Society on Thursday, March 21st at 2:30 in the 10/12 Cafeteria. The makeup meeting will be Friday morning in C-13.

General Announcements

  • Attention Freshman, today we will be hosting our Ninth Grade Center Career Day for all Freshman. Immediately following 3rd block, Students will go by advisory to pick up their Career Day Schedule prior to participating in Career Day Session.  must be on time to 4th block to participate in this event.

General Announcements  

  • Attention students, 2019 prom information is now available on the web! Get your tickets early!

  • For anyone interested in running for a class officer or student council officer position for next year, the application is available until 4/10. The link to the online application is available on the school website. 

  • Seniors, tomorrow is Instant Decision Day all day in the 10-12 Media Center and FAFSA Night after school from 3-5 p.m. If you are interested in earning instant admission among various colleges please see your counselor today to get more information. 

  • There will be a Resume’ Workshop today after-school in the Media Center from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Students can receive assistance building their resume’ as well as participate in interview training.

  • Students, don’t forget tomorrow is College Fan Fanatic Friday sponsored by CCHS Athletic Department! Dress head to toe in your favorite college attire (school dress code enforced) and win a chance to earn a Subway Gift Card! General Announcements

  • Congratulations to senior, Camryn Kelley, for placing 2nd place in the Boys and Girls Club’s Georgia Military Youth of the year competition in Atlanta, and placing first at the local level. 

  • The National Technical Honor Society membership applications and dues must be turned in to Mrs. White in C-10 by today. If you are a CTAE pathway completer with an overall average of 83 or higher then you qualify for this honor society. 

Sports Announcements 

  • Come out to the tennis courts today to support the Varsity Tennis Team as they take on the Colquitt County Packers starting at 4. 

  • After the tennis match, head out to the baseball fields as the Varsity Baseball Team competes against Colquitt in a doubleheader starting at 4:30. 

  • Today, the Boys and girls Varsity Soccer Teams will be hosting the Tift County Blue Devils with the games starting at 5 and 7 and the girls and boys JV soccer teams will be traveling to Ware County to compete in a tournament. 

  • Tomorrow, The boys Varsity Golf Team will be traveling to compete in the Viking Invitational starting at 8 am.
