First Block Announcements

Monday, January 14

General Announcements

  • There will be a Senior Beta Club meeting today after school in the 10-12 cafeteria. The donation item for this month is children’s books. 

  • The Camden Spanish National Honors Society will be meeting on Wednesday, January 16th at 2:30 in room C7. 

  • The Connections Club will be meeting Wednesday, January 16th in G10 from 2:30-3:30pm. All members and new students are welcome. 

  • The SADD Club will be meeting Thursday, January 17th from 2:30-3:30 in the 10-12 Media Center. All are welcome to attend. The makeup meeting will be the morning of January 18th in D7 at 6:50 am. 

  • Parents and students are invited to attend the AP/ Dual Enrollment Information Night on Tuesday, January 22nd at 6pm in the auditorium. 

Sports Announcements 

  • Congratulations to the Rifle Team for their win in their match against St. Vincent Academy 1105 to 1040. 

    CCHS had the top four shooters in the match including: Katelyn Wilson with 279, Joshua Campbell with 276, Thomas Shepard with 275 and Connor Ingram with 275. Congratulations again!

  • There will be a mandatory meeting today at 5:30 in the lecture hall for anyone who is interested in trying out for the CCHS Cheerleading team. 

  • Baseball tryouts will be today at the baseball field. Be there by 3 for registration, and tryouts begin at 3:30. Make sure you have a current physical on file before try outs. Please note you must meet eligibility requirements in order to tryout for baseball or any spring sport. Check with the athletic office if you are uncertain.

  • Tomorrow, the Ninth Grade Girls and Boys Basketball Teams will be competing at home against Liberty with the games starting at 5 and 6.

  • On Thursday, the JV and Varsity Boys Basketball Teams will be competing at home against Ridgeview will the games starting at 5:30 and 7. 

  • On Friday, the Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball Teams will be competing at home against Colquitt with the games starting at 6 and 7:30.

  • On Saturday, the JV and Varsity Basketball Teams will be competing at Glynn with the games starting at 3, 4:30, 6, and 7:30.

Also, good luck to the Ninth Grade Football Team as they will be traveling to compete against Brunswick with the game starting at 5.

The HERO Club Fall Costume Patty will be today from 6-8pm at the Rec Center. 

All club members are welcome. We will have costume contest, Chick fil A dinner, and a DJ to get us moving!

General Announcements 

  • Sign ups for the Blood Drive will be today during all four lunches. The Blood Drive will be on Friday, January 25th. 

  • Yearbooks will be on sale today for $80 during all four lunches. 

  • There will be a Senior Beta Club meeting Monday, January 14th after school in the 10-12 cafeteria. The donation item for this month is children’s books. 


Sports Announcements 

  • Anyone interested in trying out for Cheerleading, there will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, January 14th at 5:30 in the lecture hall.

  • The swim teams will be traveling to compete in the Lee Trojan Invitational with the meet starting at 10am.
  • The Varsity Wrestling Team will be competing at Colquitt the meet starting at 11am.
